Programmes to Empowering Women
Self Help Group (SHG) :- Self-help groups are tools for achieving goals such as empowering women, building leadership skills among the poor and needy, providing them with financial support and a platform for social change. Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan has formed 100+ SHGs in the various projects of Governments in Pali, Sawai Madhopur & Bundi Districts. We also provided orientation, capacity building and skill training to improve the soco-economic and living standard in the society.
Drudgery Reduction :- In rural India, women play a vital role in household, agriculture and in other agro-based activities. Women face the most drudgery in cooking due to traditional ways of cooking on chulhas by using old traditional methods like firewood, coal, cow dung cake etc.which is hazardous to their health and also bad for environment. As well as women have to work overnights related to agriculture and livestock, due to lac of light there are a lot of risk of casuality.
To overcome this problem RSS has distributed cooking stove, solar lights and Kisan torch under the integrated tribal development programme in Sawai Madhopur and Bundi districts.
Programmes to Women Legal Assistant & Awareness
Mahila Suraksha Salah Kendra (MSSK) :- There is an the brutality of violence against women both in the public and the domestic sphere and the most women get very little or no redressal to their problems. To protect them the MSSK (Holistic redressal Centre) is a single platform by providing the legal assistant or counseling to the victim women from domestic violence. This scheme is run by Department of Women Empowerment through the NGOs.
The Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan is operating 2 Mahila Suraksha Salah Kendra (Peeplu – Tonk and Rohat – Pali).
Legal Awareness Programme :- Legal Awareness Generation is a paramount importance for upliftment of women and, particularly, women living in rural areas.They are ignorant about their legal and other rights, their status in the society and in the family and the solutions to the problems faced by them. In this contaxt Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan has organized 2 days legal awareness programmes in Rajsamand and Dausa districts with the financial grant of the National Commission for Women, GoI.
Sexual harassment related to workplace is one of the major concerns for any organization today. Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan has educated to the employees about sexual harassment in Tonk and Pali districts. In addition of this, we also educated about Good touch and Bad touch to the teenage girls in various schools of both districts.
Manpower Supply to Operate “SAKHI”- ONE STOP CENTRE (OSC) and in Indira Mahila Shakti Kendra (IMSK) :- The Scheme of One Stop Centre is to provide for a range of services for violence affected women including police facilitation, legal counselling, psycho-social counselling, medical aid and temporary shelter in an integrated manner under one roof. Indira Mahila Shakti Kendras were established in all the district headquarters to solve the various problems of women and their counseling.
The Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan has provided the manpower to operate these centers in district offices of Women Empowerment at Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Rajsamand, Pali & Jaislmer.
