Financial literacy refers to having a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts, tools, and practices. It empowers individuals to make informed decisions regarding their money, investments, and financial goals.
Adequate knowledge and awareness among the people will help step up financial inclusion efforts in the unbanked areas. Financial and digital literacy camps help educate our society’s unserved and underserved populace about the banking system. Street plays are a medium of powerful IEC (Information, Education and Communication) and help them avail themselves of these schemes, enabling and empowering them to lead a more financially secure life. At RSS, we have also used various methods like puppet show, printed brochures, calenders with the details of schemes, quiz competitions and rewards.
Apart from being eligible for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the PMJDY entitles one to avail Government of India’s social security schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Bank (MUDRA) scheme.
The Ranthambhour Seva Sansthan has organised progammes in below districts of Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh state with the financial grant of NABARD, Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank (CRGB) and Cooperative Banks.
